Who Is Betty Mae?

Quick! What was your favourite sparkly drink as a kid?

Was it fruity or rooty? Clear or coloured? Where did you like best to be when you enjoyed it?

And then… wait for it… those thousand tiny explosions tickling your tongue. The rush of refreshment. That unassailable urge to smack your lips and go “ahhhh” after the first gulp.

In her own bubbly-humble way, Betty Mae is a female facsimile of pop-fizz-ahhh.

Life offers up almost more than can be expected of most of us, a reality that Betty Mae embraces and celebrates. (celebrates!) Ask any of her clients and they’ll serve up a big helping of “ya got that right”.

Betty Mae lives for transformation.

She observed it hourly while growing up on her family ranch in Southern Saskatchewan. The interplay of live animals, weather, seasons and her crazy cowboy brothers instilled a deep sense of the even deeper dynamics of our lives. Sometimes it ain’t pretty but then a baby cow pops out.

As a health practitioner for thirty years, Betty Mae’s clients experience all at once her cheeky maturity, ease, acceptance and the kind of pointed-yet-welcome motivation that comes from a gal who played on the women’s provincial volleyball team.

After graduating from Northern Montana College with an Associate of Science Degree with a major in Business Administration, her fascination with the body-mind dynamic led her to study Massage Therapy at the D’Arcy Lane Institute (London), where she graduated at the top of her class. In 1988 she participated in the Calgary Olympics with the Massage Therapy team. Her world travels took her to India to learn practices like Yoga, meditation and Ayurvedic bodywork. She then specialized in Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Ortho-Bionomy and studied at the Canadian College of Osteopathy.

But that isn’t enough. Not for any of us.

We are whole beings, not a collection of parts to divvy up and solve. Betty Mae is unique in her experience and vision to help us heal and transform in our whole selves. All at once. Our bodies, hearts, emotions, relationships and experiences are woven together. And that’s exactly how she helps people heal, transform and grow.

More often than not, her hands-on sessions became discussions about people’s lives. As a result, Betty Mae developed her Life Therapy practice, one which combines whole person health with radical transformation at our deepest levels of being. More and more individuals, corporations, groups and teams are benefiting each week from Betty Mae’s unique Life Therapy practices.

If you asked her what her own life’s dream is, she’d say: “I want to help you become the best version of yourself.”

Her offer stands.
